Monique Finlay

Monique is our Salon Owner/Director/Master Stylist, Master Colourist and Curly Hair Specialist with over 35 years in the Hair, Make-up and Beauty industry. Bringing with her a wealth of colour expertise, having been a Technical Educator with Matrix, one of the leading Professional Hair Colour Companies. Monique also spent many years in the Theatre industry as a Make-up Artist, Hairdresser and Wig Dresser and has for the last 18 years run her own Organic Skin Care business, “blossom eco skin care”. Monique, keen to support other Aussie business’s, curates and seeks all Aussie owned and made, cruelty free and vegan products for the salon. She is interested in healthy living and is an avid label reader, nature and animal lover. Monique is also a highly qualified Veterinary Technician which explains her superior knowledge when it comes to hygiene and infection control. This proved invaluable when dealing with the COVID19 outbreak and the extra hygiene measures required to keep everyone safe. Monique loves living on her rural lifestyle property with her husband, son, Lulabelle, adopted rescue dog Chico the Chihuahua, Tahi (Chico and Lulas pup), 3 horses and 7 adopted ex-battery farm hens.

Bella Cumming

Bella is our Senior Stylist and has been with us here at blossom for 4 years now.

While in salon Bella will be involved in your colour service, and she loves to create “beachy, lived in, blondes”. She can also look after your cutting and styling and is also our Blow Dry, Hot Curl and “Curly Girl Styling” specialist. If you are wanting to donate your ponytail to be used for making wigs then Bella is your girl! Bella is also an animal lover and sustainability expert and is a very popular and integral part of our happy little blossom family. It has been wonderful watching her transform into the competent stylist that she is, under Monique’s guidance.

Lulabelle

Lulabelle is our Salon Therapy Dog and PR Manager. She loves to meet and greet all our clients. Lula is a non allergenic, haired not furred, “Chinese Crested Dog” (Powderpuff variety). She loves to sit on your lap and be petted if you are willing. It has been scientifically proven that petting an animal dramatically reduces stress levels as well as lowering blood pressure. Lulabelle is 2 now and has recently become a mother to “Tahi”, her and Chicos puppy. Tahi also spends time in salon and is a real “People Dog” so he is always up for a cuddle. If you are lucky you may even meet the whole family!
